Legacy Village of St. George hosts groundbreaking ceremony

ST GEORGE, Utah. (Jan. 30, 2020) – Western States Lodging and Garn Development, along with general contractor Rimrock Construction, will host a groundbreaking ceremony and light luncheon on Thursday, February 13th from 12:00pm to 1:00pm for its newest project, Legacy Village of St. George. The public is invited to attend. Legacy Village of St. George, a 255-unit senior living community, will be located on 1379 W. Sky Rocket Road, directly off of S. Dixie Drive in St. George, Utah.

Legacy Village of St. George will provide senior housing and care for upcoming baby-boomers as well as create numerous jobs in the St. George and local area. Conveniently located off of I-15 and just minutes from beautiful Snow Canyon State Park, local shops and restaurants, Legacy Village of St. George will set a high standard for the design and planning of senior housing in Utah and will be one of the most desirable senior living communities in Utah.

Legacy Village will serve three distinct senior living market segments—Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. The community will provide extensive services to each of its residents.  Residents will enjoy daily activities, restaurant-style dining, beautifully decorated living areas and a variety of apartment floor plans—all in a beautiful, yet home-like setting. For those who need additional help, specially-trained caregivers will provide assistance with medications and other activities of daily living.

“Senior living communities today have so much to offer” said Brad Miles of Western States Lodging and Management. “We’re not only accommodating the needs of couples who maintain an active independent lifestyle, but also providing assistance for residents who may need dementia-related care. Our mission at Western States has always been to provide both amenities and services that exceed our customer’s expectations. We do that by truly listening to what our customers want.”

The community is being built by Rimrock Construction and designed by Salt Lake City-based Beecher Walker Architects. The community is anticipated to open in 2022. Travis Parry with Linx Real Estate helped broker the land purchase for Western States and Garn Development.
